Are you interested in Global Development Management?
The MSc in Development Management offered by the Open University is designed for
people with a professional and/or personal interest in creating and managing
development interventions, programmes, policies and strategies at any level from
local to global.
Managing development gets ever more complex, as more agencies become involved,
new goals emerge, complementing and confronting existing goals, and the right of
'beneficiaries' to participate in their own development is increasingly
asserted. The Open University MSc programme in Development Management addresses
the challenge of this complexity. The core modules give students the opportunity
to strengthen their policy development and project management skills. They put
inter-organisational relationships at the heart of development management,
offering a framework for analysing existing relationships and for making
strategic decisions about relationships that are required.
Some of the modules from the Open University MBA programme can also be counted
towards the MSc in Development Management. Examples of these are; B713, B820,
B822, B856, B857, TU870, and T863. A further 30 credits can be counted from any
of the Open University post graduate modules
